Burgess and Son Manufactures Exeter were premier manufacturers of beekeeping equipment in their day. This is a piece of rare English beekeeping history. Comes with the original brass metal insignia plate bearing the makers name. The unit comprises of the bottom base tank with tap and one insert strainer unit with lid. Three pieces in total. Vintage Very Rare Wooden Beehive Money Bank With Honey Bees
This is a very very old savings bank in the shape of a beehive with three honeybees made out of wood. There is a door that leads to the inside of the bank with a lock on it. We don’t have the key to the lock. It’s a very old lock. On the stand of the beehive is written ‘it pays to save’. Condition is used obviously with signs of wear and tear one honey bee is missing its set of wings and the bottom of the stand is missing one of the original peg legs, there is a screw in its place.
