Poole Pottery was founded in 1873 East Quay in Poole, Dorset, England. Carter’s son, Owen, was responsible for introducing ornamental and tablewares into the range during the early 1900’s, experimenting with lustre glazes. Poole Pottery is probably best known for the colourful hand painted floral designs created by Truda Carter after her arrival at the Pottery in 1921.
In very good condition usual crazing with age, no cracks, repairs or chips. Hand signed by artist.
