Shorter & Sons Honeycomb Dish – 1930s
This square dish was popular in the early Victorian times to serve honeycomb within. Great condition, fully back stamped. In perfect condition, crazing in glaze as would be expected for a piece of this age. The double slip glaze to base-see the Photo for reference. Colours can vary in colour/hue due to computer/phone viewing.
Crown Devon Cottage Beehive Honeypot – Large – circa 1930s
This is a nice and strong example of a Deco Crown Devon beehive honey pot, with good shaping and texture. The base has a shaped deco-style green base, with a yellow textured exterior. There are bees painted around the pot, and there is one large applied bee on the lid.
The lid has a smoother finish with a gap for a spoon in it. It measures approx.120mm high x 100mm wide at base and has the Crown Devon backstamp underneath. It is in nice clean condition, with just some very light and clean craze lines in the glaze to be expected for the age.
Marutomo ‘Skep Beehouse’ Honeypot- circa 1940s
Marutomo Skep House Honeypot made in Japan in the 1940s. Delicate workmanship. Produced mainly for the European market. This maker is highly sought after by collectors.
